Salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan manipulasi nilai delay.
Lab kali ini kita akan membahas bagaimana cara konfigurasi pemindahan jalur pada EIGRP menggunakan delay.

Pada kondisi normal, dari R1 menuju IP Loopback R3 akan langsung memilih melalui interface Fa0/0 karena perhitungan bandwidth FastEthernet nya.
Bila kita inginkan dari R1 menuju IP Loopback R3 melewati router R2 dahulu, maka parameter metric bisa kita rubah agar memenuhi hal tersebut.
Salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan manipulasi nilai delay.
Kita coba cek kondisi awal routing di R1 terhadap IP 3.3.3.3/32 :

Kita juga bisa mengecek pada EIGRP topologi untuk memastikan ada berapa jalur ke arah IP 3.3.3.3/32 :

Terlihat bahwa bandwidth Fa0/0 (10000) lebih besar dari pada Serial0/0 (1544) sedangkan nilai delay Fa0/0 (6000 ms) juga lebih kecil dari pada Serial0/0 (26000 ms).
Untuk melakukan pemindahan jalurnya, kita bisa manipulasi nilai delay pada Fa0/0, kemudian kita clear EIGRP relation ke router yang lain :
R1(config-router)#int fa0/0
R1(config-if)#delay 100000
