Hari pertama CCIE-RS Bootcamp, disi dengan perkenalan seputar CCIE-RS Lab dilanjut dengan materi dari CCIE-RS Foundation.
Topik CCIE Foundation hari adalah Frame Relay dan Troubleshooting Day 1.
Frame relay termasuk Network Broadcast Multi Acces (NMBA).
Pada Frame relay terdapat 2 tipe network, yaitu
1. Point to Point
2. Point to Multipoint.
Pada Frame relay, default main interface adalah multipoint.
Dengan konfigurasi multipoint, diperlukan mapping Layer3 (IP) ke Layer2 (DLCI).
Terdapat 2 cara untuk melakukan mapping tersebut, yaitu :
1. Dynamic Mapping melalui Inverse-ARP
2. Static Mapping menggunakan command 'frame-relay map'

R1 dan R2 adalah router yang akan di koneksikan oleh Frame Relay.

Dengan topology sama dengan Lab 1, kita akan coba lakukan konfigurasi Static Mapping.
